Citizens Truck Company is located in downtown Frederick. Citizen’s is unique as we only have special service apparatus at our station supporting Frederick City with aerial truck services. Our apparatus includes two tiller trucks and an air/light unit. We have 3 full-time career staff for one ladder truck which all welcome the volunteers to enhance their staffing. We also will staff a second, volunteer only ladder truck. We offer the unique opportunity to tiller or drive the front of either ladder truck.
Citizen’s Truck Company offers the ability to focus on supplying Frederick City with quality aerial service. If you have ever had an interest in operating a tiller truck, we are the only volunteer department in the area with this specialty apparatus. We offer a lot of training opportunities for truck company operations and driver training to allow you to become proficient in the skill of truck work. We also work with your schedule for training/staffing as we do not have set “shifts” making it work well with odd work schedules or other obligations.
