This is the flag of the council of Castrillón.
It has in a green background the shield of Castrillón is divided into two parts and has the Royal crown of Spain on it: The one on the left contains a Campo de Azur, with a crenellated tower that represents the Castle of Gauzón on a green hill and above the Victory Cross, with the letters of the Greek alphabet alpha and omega. The one on the right contains a Field of Gules and a golden warship that crosses the sea to break the chain that connects two towers. It was taken from the shield of Avilés when Castrillón was incorporated, as well as several other councils took it. It represents the conquest of Seville, which they went to help recover.
