A tragicomic mosaic of stories focusing on three siblings: 16-year-old Anna (Karolina Kaiserová), 26-year-old Jana (Tatiana Vilhelmová), and their half brother Vladimír (Jan Budar), age 35. Each of them is looking for the right person to come into their lives, but this merely leads to fumbling through life in a muddle while repeating the same mistakes. Anna is very far from her ideal of flashy beauty, and she struggles to be perfect as self doubts gnaw at her. In her naiveté, she gets caught by the same snares that trapped her sister. The elder girl is tearing through life in the fast lane - towards her first divorce. None of them realizes just how similar their problems are to those of their mother and brother, a brother they as yet know nothing about.

Horká komedie Duše jako kaviár je podle slov jejího autora Milana Cieslara inspirována skutecnými príbehy jeho známých a prátel a je také malou poctou Albertu Moraviovi. Teží z prolínání epizod nekolika postav, spjatých príbuzenskými, manželskými a mileneckými vazbami. - Pri pohrbu rozvedeného otce se jeho dcery Jana a Anna poprvé setkají s nevlastním bratrem Vladimírem, o jehož existenci ony ani jejich zatrpklá stárnoucí matka nemely tušení. Jana žije v rozpadávajícím se manželství s Honzou, který ji podvádí s její nejlepší kamarádkou, emancipovanou „moderní ženou“ Karin. Studentka Anna trpí svou tlouštkou a nenávidí matcina mladého milence. A nesmelý malír Vladimír pred casem odešel od manželky Marcely a hluchonemé dcerky a rád by se k nim vrátil. Ve hre jsou mimo jiné i Karinin ušlápnutý manžel František, Ruska Jelena, automechanik Ríša a lesbicka Miluška. - Podle „mozaikovitého“ dramaturgického vzorce se príhody jednotlivých postav postupne splétají a vrství, aby byly ke konci nejakým zpusobem „vyrešeny“.
