Of these seven, Mondoñedo is currently within the province of Lugo ; Tuy within the province of Pontevedra; Santiago, the current capital of Galicia, and that of the city of Betanzos (which was independently and politically identified as an enclave differentiated from the rest) are part of the current province of La Coruña . Each ancient territory had a cross. The holy grail in the center represents the exceptional privilege of the Lugo cathedral to publicly display the Host or body of Christ. After the new territorial division of Spain in 1833, the Galician provinces modified their number and limits, leaving Galicia in the current four."
