This information sign can be found in the car parking area at Morton Lochs on the eastern fringe of Tentsmuir National Nature Reserve, a vast forested area and beach on the north-east tip of Fife in Scotland. The sign is situated under an old railway bridge, the car park being on the site of the old railway line that was here from 1848 until 1959, as stated on the sign.

The sign states that hawthorn, northern marsh orchid, lady's smock, and grass of Parnassus, can be found here, species of flora that attracts many species of butterflies and damselflies.

The species pictured and described on the right-hand side of the sign are, Common Blue Butterfly, Emperor Dragonfly, Comma Butterfly, Meadow Brown Butterfly, Common Darter, Orange-tip Butterfly, Large Red Damselfly, Common Hawker, and Emerald Damselfly.

The sign also gives information on the history of the area, with the coastline, now a mile to the north and over two miles to the east, being extended to the area around here 8000 years ago.

The Morton Lochs can be reached east of the B945 road two miles south of the town of Tayport.
