The man who is credited with discovering the North Pole is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Mount Peary in Antartica is named after Robert Edwin Peary.

The earth globe appears to be made out of concrete. It measures about 3 feet in diameter and features a star at the north pole, indicating where Peary discovered the north pole. Photos taken on 10 September 2021.
