This memorial is located in Ayr, Ontario on the corner of Northumberland Street and Stanley Street. The cross with a sword monument was originally placed in memory of the Great War but has since had World War II added on the side. The cross was designed by Sir Reginald Bloomfield and officially unveiled on September 3rd, 1922.

Originally this location had large scales for the nearby factories before being moved for the memorial. This area recently underwent a design change, from a grassy median to the pedestrian friendly plaza we see today.

A nearby plaque lists those who died in the war.
