On a narrow road in Diepenheim, hidden behind a hedge, is a cemetery that was last used in 1974 to bury someone.
You enter the cemetery through a gate. Scattered are grave monuments.
The text on most tombstones is often no longer legible.
The cemetery was used from 1872 to 1974.
Several graves belong to the noble family Schimmelpenninck. One of the members of that family is also the last to have found his final resting place here.
At the moment maintenance is being carried out to make everything look neat again.
