In 1976, the company Carl C. A / S in Skjern installed the 79 m high lattice tower on an open area surrounded by trees at Bækgårdsvej 32. The lattice tower stands on three columns that are brought together at a height of 25 m. At a height of about 30 m, a grid parabolic antenna with a diameter of 24 m with an orientation to the south-south-east was then installed for wind permeability, the lattice tower forks at a height of about 50 m and leads two narrower antenna masts a further 25 m the height. The terrestrial range of the antenna is around 50 km due to the curvature of the earth.
At first, the lattice mast was only used by the Danish state radio and television; with the approval of local radio programs, other broadcasters also took advantage of the possibilities. Digitization and improvements in radio technology led to other transmission masts taking over the distribution of radio signals. Currently, Classic FM (on 105.0 MHz) and skala.fm (on 107.5 MHz) feed their programs into the lattice mast.
