The Okarche Fire Department is a volunteer department located in the same building as the town hall, on the east side of town. The town is approximately 640 acres, and the fire department also serves a large rural surrounding area.

This building is a one-story brick veneer building with a gabled roof. The west end of the building houses the town hall, with the east portion being the fire department. Recently, two additional vehicle bays were added to the east side of the building, and one wide vehicle bay adjacent to town hall was remodeled to house the town government. This resulted in six overhead vehicle door along the north side of the building. There are currently 20 volunteer firefighters with this unit.
