10 bungalows built for aged miners.

These bungalows are set at the edge of the former mining village of Dudley in the North East of England.

They run along Great Lime Road which is just on the way to Weetslade Country Park. Which used to be Weetslade Colliery.

Set in 2 rows of 5, there is a stone slab with an inscription on the the first and last bungalow of each row. The inscriptons read from right to left:

"homes of rest", .

"These homes were opened by Sir Patrick Hastings M.C.M.P 9th of May 1921"

"Northumberland aged mine workers homes association"

"At eventide"

I can find no further historical information about these bungalows.
Year of construction: 1921
