In the small village of Veere, in the road next to the harbour, you will find this old well preserved cannon.

These guns once served as a mooring post along the canal through Walcheren. The pieces (across the harbor) have been refurbished and are now used to fire salutes at festive events such as weddings, special occasions and events in Veere.
