This small veterans memorial is on the north side of Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City. Set in 1937, it does not name any wars and was probably set to honor those who died in the Great War twenty years earlier, but the threat of another world war was already rumbling across the globe...

The memorial is a tall flagpole and a small cannon at the top of a hill. The cannon is set in a concrete mount, which bears a brass plaque with the text given above.
