"Neoclassical style battery (1731-1739), by Juan de la Ferriere and Juan Vergel. It was part of a fortification project at the entrance to the Ferrol estuary, as it supported the castles of San Felipe, A Palma and San Martín. It has two fronts, one towards the estuary and the other towards the cove. The hornabeque is large. The material used is masonry. Example of military architecture, with magnificent views over the estuary."
