I recovered this reference mark in good condition as part of the PELICAN bench mark series, including recovering the AZ mark about .25 miles south of the summit. This reference mark replaces Reference Mark 2 which was destroyed when a microwave tower and new lookout tower were built in 1980.

REFERENCE MARK NO. 3 IS A STANDARD NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY DISK STAMPED---PELICAN 1967 NO 3 1980---LOCATED 10.7 METERS (35 FEET) E FROM THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF A CONCRETE BUILDING, 2.4 METERS (8 FEET) N FROM A TRAIL ALONG THE TOP OF THE BLUFF, AND 1/2 FOOT LOWER THAN THE STATION.
