There are a few garden boxes for the public to use. The garden was established in 2012 and has a few areas for seating. There is also speakers nearby which pipe in music for visitors. The plaque says, "Eileen M. Merkle Community Garden dedicated September 28, 2015 by the Town of Sykesville"
