"Six large boulders and four smaller ones, gifted to Noordoostpolder by the Norwegian partner municipality Ringerike in 1980, stand as sentinels from the Ice Age at the traffic circle in front of Museum Schokland. The two largest weigh more than 15 tons. They stood at the Deel in the heart of Emmeloord until 2007."
