We first got sight of the ISS at 05:39 hours EDT which is exactly what the Heavens Above ISS pass details indicated. We were not expecting such an early sighting due to low sky haze and light pollution in that direction. It appeared in the northwest sky heading southeast. It reached a magnitude of -3.8 at its maximum altitude 05:43 .

The sky was partly cloudy at this location, but we never lost sight of the ISS, only some dimming of the brightness as it passed the clouds. We continued watching it till it disappered behind the tree line at 05:47 hours EDT. This gave us a total viewing time of nearly 8 minutes.

Max and 99 unfortunately were rained out in Oklahoma and not able to have a sighting. Just an interesting coincidence to note, our last ISS Sighting was also with Max and 99 exactly one year ago today and they were not able to have a sighting then either.

Thanks Max and 99 for setting up this ISS Sighting.
