"Two birds with one stone". A windmill requires a tower to catch the breeze, and a water tank must be elevated to get a gravity flow. So why not put them both on the same steel structure? DUH! But this is the only such arrangement I've ever seen. Because water weighs over 8 pounds per gallon, you'll notice that the support for the tank is more substantial then that for the lighter wind vanes. (Five miles west of Sanford NC along Highway NC-42.)
