This large memorial cross was erected in 1920 to commemorate the men of the village that died in World War I and was later updated to include people who died in World War I.

The memorial was cleaned in 2014 in preparation for services to commemorate the centenary of the ending of World War I in 2018,
Type of cross: Latin cross

Material used: Stone (granite, sandstone, marble, ...)

Characteristics of this cross:
The cross on a tapering shaft is mounted on a plinth and a two-stepped square base. An inscription is carved on the front of the plinth. The whole memorial is set within a gravelled area with paving stones forming a path to the cross.

The shaft of the cross has a sword engraved upon it.
