De Berghaven uit 1884 is de thuishaven voor de koninklijke Nederlandse Reddings Maatschappij (KNRM) en het Nederlands Loodswezen. In de Oorlog lagen hier patrouille en bewakingsschepen van de Kriegsmarine, dit waren hoofdzakelijk op de Nederlands gevorderde vissersboten die werden bewapend.
De voormalige torpedoloods uit 1886 boven op de dijk herinnert aan het oorlogsverleden. Hier werden zeemijnen en torpedo's opgeslagen.
Het hier geplaatste kanon is een herinnering aan de oorlogstijden en verdedigingswerken.

The Berghaven from 1884 is the home port for the Royal Dutch Rescue Company (KNRM) and the Dutch Pilotage Service. During the War, patrol and guard ships of the Kriegsmarine were located here, mainly on the Dutch requisitioned fishing boats that were armed.
The former torpedo shed from 1886 on top of the dike is a reminder of the war past. Sea mines and torpedoes were stored here.
The cannon placed here is a reminder of the war times and fortifications.
