The owner of Studio Z is Zonly Looman, a graduate of Deer Creek High School. His website describes him and his work: "Primarily a self-taught artist, Zonly would paint as a child by watching other artists on PBS. Zonly also gained influence from both his grandmothers introducing him to the artsier side of the world. Zonly has strong influences from his Kumeyaay and Chumash heritage, which helped in creating multiple Native American collections. Over the years, Zonly has spent thousands of hours mastering various styles and techniques. This commitment and drive has allowed for Zonly to develop his unique style as a pop expressionist artist and open his own gallery, Studio Z, in downtown Edmond, OK. Operating out of Studio Z, Zonly currently specializes in custom artwork, murals, sculptures, and live performance painting." He also designs and supplies tattoos.
There are several creations of Zonly in the Edmond area - murals, metal sculptures. Three extremely interesting metal sculptures can be found in front of his studio. Zonly has donated items to several local non-profits. His Facebook page shows many of his paintings:
