This scene from Cowgirls and Angels is in front of Lintz Department Store, on Oklahoma Avenue in Guthrie. The Sweethearts of the Rodeo are in Guthrie's annual 89er Day Parade. The shot is facing southeast, from the north side of Oklahoma Avenue, just east of 1st St.
The movie is about a young girl who desperately wants to find the dad she's never known. All she knows is that he was involved with the rodeo and his first name (Walker). The girl shows interest in horses, and loves the Sweethearts of the Rodeo, an all-girl, trick riding group that performs at rodeos. They give Ida an opportunity to tour America with them, which she gladly accepts in the hopes of finding her dad.
