Next to the Ría de Ribadeo we find a large structure used between 1903 and the beginning of the 60's as a point of unloading of the cast iron ore extracted from the mines of A Pontenova. The railway of the Sociedad Minera de Villaodrid arrived here to transfer the ore, which would leave by sea to different parts of Europe.
Currently this place has been recovered as an ethnographic park, being able to see in its surroundings a sundial, the old railroad tunnels and the platform that overlooks the estuary and that partly reproduces the original discharge structure.
