Recently the local news featured a man in Moore, OK that was affected by the tree damage a winter ice storm had caused.

A large tree in his front yard was damaged, but rather than have the tree removed, the homeowner saw it as a chance to create a piece of art.

Together with a local wood carver, they created a 10ft version of the Statue of Liberty, pedestal and all.

This eye-sore of a tree has now become a "flame shining bright; a beacon for all to see."

Southern Living magazine has now featured this art piece, at (visit link)
