A tombstone in granite raised by the norweigan goverment.
There is no record there Karl-Axel was killed but for the effort he made he was given the Krigsmedalj (war medal) after his death.

Menig (Private) Karl-Axel Lundin served as a volunteer maskingutt (machine boy) at the norweigan ship D/S Cubano and then later the M/T Solstad.
Karl-Axel was rescued in October 20, 1940 then the D/S Cubano was sunk after being hit by german torpedos on their route between Manchester - Montreal.
