This crossing is located on the Bride Coast Road (A10) on the outskirts of the small community of Dog Mills and the road to the small village of Bride the administrative centre of the Parish of the same name. The Parish of Bride is the most northerly of the island's local authorites
The Parish of Bride is a mainly rural area with no large centres of population.
At the Island most northerly point of the island falls in the Parish - the Point of Ayre and one of its two lighthouses is featured on the Parishes the sign alongside the thatched cottages at Cranstal and two Arctic Terns which bred on the beaches at the Point of Ayre.
There are 21 local authorities on the Isle of Man of which both Lezayre and Bride are parish local authorities.

The sign is white with a colour picture of one of the Point of Ayre Lighthouses, the Cranstal Thatched Cottages and two Arctic Terns. On reverse is a blue Celtic Cross which is the logo of the Parish of Lezayre.
