What a find! I was here to get pictures of the KZUE La Tremenda Radio station tower, and I find a John Deere No.4 Big sickle bar mower (along with a couple other pieces in such bad shape I have no idea of manufacturer or model number). I've been looking for Old Agricultural Equipment for quite a while.

This mower is located on the east side of Radio Rd, just south of OK Hwy 66 on the east side of El Reno. It is almost due west of the KZUE La Tremenda radio tower. Info I found on the internet says they were made from 1934-48, and stock was still being sold as late as 1952.

Use or Purpose of Equipment: hay mower

Approximate age: as it was horse drawn, it would probably be from much earlier than the 1950s.

Still in Use?: No

Location:
in a field, not far from the road. east side of Radio Road just south of OK Hwy 66 east of El Reno, Oklahoma. Also can be reached from I-40, Radio Rd Exit, then turn north.
