"1868: the mill was built as a sawmill in Gorredijk.
1912 - 1925: the mill was situated as corn mill on Twijtel
1925 - now: the mill is situated as a corn mill in Makkinga

The mill is still in operation. Volunteers keep De Weyert running so that the next generation can also enjoy this beautiful corn mill."
