The U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey is best known for their brass "benchmark" disks, but they will, on occasion, use existing structures for benchmarks. In this case, the benchmark is the cross atop St. Edward Catholic Church. The cross is easily visible from even a block away. There is plenty of parking around the church.
