Cowden is so small there isn't even any population data for it; its just a few houses and an agri-business on the highway. And "Oakdale" no longer exists at all, but this cemetery is about where that vanished town once was. The land was once the homestead of Thomas Eaton, and as it stands there is no deed to the cemetery at all today. We children of the digital age don't really understand how fragile paper records were, for most of history. The cemetery is active and well maintained.
