The 29-foot long deck plate girder bridge is the second shortest of the ten railroad girder bridges in Blackstone. Unlike the other nine, however, the doubletrack bridge is in fact two separate spans constructed parallel to one another. Each span consists of a
pair of stringer girders, each stringer being 3'-0" deep, and each pair carrying one track . Although the overall width including cantilevered wooden walkway is 24'-6", the width between outer girders i s 19'-5". This is also the only bridge in Blackstone constructed by the Pennsylvania Steel Company, of Steelton, PA, then one of the largest
bridge building companies in that state .
