At the top of the Stair Tower at the old Post and Telegraph Building in Aalborg, there is a dovecote which was intended for carrier pigeons. There are 7 groups with 9 holes, so a total of 63 holes for carrier pigeons. However, they have all been walled up now, so there are no more pigeons in the tower.
The Post and Telegraph Building was built by Hack Kampmann in 1908-10 and protected in 1988. In 2013, the operation of the post office ceased and it is now rented out for private business.
(If known) Approximately how many pigeonholes in the dovecote?: 63 (9x7)
