Polarforskeren Knud Rasmussens hus ligger smukt ved havet. På hoveddøren er en dørhammer som selvfølgelig er en sæl. Dem store polarforsker boede og arbejdede her mellem hans mange ekspeditioner til Grønland.
Dørhammeren med sælen er anbragt på en metalplade med årstallet 1917 og initialerne KR. Dørhammeren er sandsynligvis af bronze, da den er grøn af ir. Over dørhammeren er et lille vindue med et metalkryds.



The house of the danish polar explorer Knud Rasmussen is beautifully situated by the sea. On the front door is a door knocker which of course is a seal. The great polar explorer lived and worked here between his many expeditions to Greenland.
The door knocker with the seal is placed on a metal plate with the year 1917 and the initials KR. The door knocker is probably made of bronze as it is green of ir. Above the door knocker is a small window with a metal cross.
