Brookside Gardens is part of the Wheaton Regional Park, which features an abundance of activities. The gardens are open daily and host annual events to include "Garden of Lights" during the winter holiday season. The Gardens opened in 1969 and has expanded from 25 to 54 acres. Some of the features are an Aquatic Garden, Conservatories, Butterfly house and gardens, Perennial Garden, Rock Garden, Japanese Garden and a woodland walk.
