Wijchen station is a railway station in Wijchen, Gelderland, on the Brabantse Lijn. The station was opened on June 4, 1881. The railway and station were operated until 1892 by the Nederlandsche Zuid-Ooster Spoorweg-Maatschappij.

Wijchen station is a railway station in Wijchen, Gelderland, on the Brabantse Lijn. The station was opened on June 4, 1881. The railway and station were operated until 1892 by the Nederlandsche Zuid-Ooster Spoorweg-Maatschappij (NZOS). Passenger transport was then taken over by the Dutch Railways.
Until 2011, Wijchen station consisted of one island platform. On the north side, train passengers can board in the direction of Den Bosch and Deurne and on the south side for the slow trains to Nijmegen. Due to increasing passenger numbers, a separate platform has been constructed on the south side especially for trains to Nijmegen. The island platform was then used for the trains to Den Bosch and Deurne. The old island platform was demolished in mid-2014 and a whole new island platform was constructed in combination with the construction of a turning track. Wijchen station has since had three platforms. Platform 1 is located on the north side of the island platform. Platform 2 is located on the south side of the island platform. Here you can board for the direction Nijmegen. Platform 3 is located on the south side opposite the island platform and here too one can get on for the direction Nijmegen. Platform 2 is adjacent to the turning track. This reversing track was initially realized for a direct scheduled service to Arnhem and Zutphen. From the beginning of October 2014 it was put into use for one rush-hour train to Nijmegen to absorb the crowds. With effect from the 2015 timetable, a regular rush-hour train Nijmegen - Wijchen started running. Source - Wikipedia
