EN: This fountain from 1880 is located at a junction in the center of Oberflachs.
On the side of the fountain is a limestone sculpture of a vintner holding grapes in his hands. Viticulture has a long tradition in Oberflachs.
I could not find any details about this sculpture. However, it is clearly a work of the local sculptor Hans Etter, who has also created several other sculptures on the subject of viticulture that are stylistically very similar.
DE: Dieser Brunnen aus dem Jahr 1880 steht an einer Abzweigung im Zentrum von Oberflachs.
An der Seite des Brunnens steht eine Kalksteinskulptur eines Winzers, der Trauben in den Händen hält. Der Weinbau hat in Oberflachs eine lange Tradition.
Ich konnte keinerlei Details zu dieser Skulptur finden. Allerdings ist es eindeutig ein Werk des einheimischen Bildhauers Hans Etter, der auch schon einige andere, stilistisch sehr ähnliche Skulturen zum Thema Weinbau geschaffen hat.
