Local history museum located in the historic Proctor House, begun in 1853 and finished around 1866.

The house was in private hands until 1970, when Proctor family donated it to the Town of Brighton, as a memorial to two Proctor brothers killed in WWII, and as a monument to the local families who endured hardships to make the local community a success.

The interior of the house, furnished in period pieces, is open for tours during the summer months (COVID-19 setting the upcoming season). Cost is $5/person.

The grounds, which abut Proctor Park Conservation Area, are open year-round.

There are also a few outbuildings that can be visited as well.
