Mosaicworks.com"VisionShift is the only contemporary mosaic project in the Dallas Arts District—the largest contiguous urban arts district in the nation. Eleven mosaic elements float across three sides of a structure on KPMG Plaza in the new HALL Arts complex. The Arts District has changed the collective image of downtown Dallas and VisionShift expresses the possibilities and opportunities that surround us when one is open to seeing them. New techniques were developed for creating both the ‘floating edge’ and hand-colored, ‘fresco grout’. The mosaic elements are visually engaging when seen from a distance but invite viewers to step closer, exploring the diversity of relationships between the individual pieces and sensing the great possibilities of worlds within worlds."
