Door een sponsoractie val Albert Heijn Albert Heijn wordt gewerkt aan een betere biodiversiteit rondom de akkers. Samen met telers vermindert de supermarktketen stap voor stap het gebruik van gewasbeschermingsmiddelen. Ook worden jaarlijks tientallen kilometers akkerranden ingezaaid met een speciaal mengsel van bloemen en kruiden om een goede leefomgeving voor bijen en andere nuttige insecten te creëren.
Als resultaat van de actie is hier onder andere dit insectenhotel geplaatst.

Through a sponsorship campaign Albert Heijn Albert Heijn is working on a better biodiversity around the fields. Together with growers, the supermarket chain is gradually reducing the use of crop protection products. Tens of kilometers of field edges are also sown annually with a special mixture of flowers and herbs to create a good living environment for bees and other beneficial insects.
As a result of the action, this insect hotel has been placed here.
