History:
Benedictine monastery probably founded by Alfonso III in 888. The complex has the appearance of a fortress. Rebuilt in 1760, it worked until 1836 when it was permanently abandoned.
Description:
Currently the complex is in ruins. Above the main door is the monastery's coat of arms: trebolada cross, compass and a circle suggest its dependence on Celanova, to which it was annexed in 1499. It consisted of a ground floor, lower floor and upper floor. It has a modern chapel and a dovecote. In the basements you can see the remains of a wine press.
