EN: This river gauge is located in the canalized part of the Baltschiederbach at the eastern edge of Baltschieder.
The black lettering on a yellow background indicates water levels between 10 and 80 centimeters. However, the zero level is quite far above the water. Apparently this display is only for floods above a certain danger level, which is not an uncommon threat in this area.
DE: Dieser Pegel befindet sich in dem kanalisierten Teil des Baltschiederbachs am Ostrand von Baltschieder.
Die schwarze Beschriftung auf gelbem Grund zeigt Pegelstände zwischen 10 und 80 Zentimeter an. Dur Nullpunkt ist aber ziemlich weit über dem Wasser. Offenbar ist diese Anzeige nur für Hochwasser ab einer bestimmten Gefahrenstufe, das ist in dieser Gegend eine ziemlich häufige Gefahr.
