Smokey Bear warns of the current fire danger at the entrance to the Perkins Boy Scout Ranch north of Wichita Falls, Texas. He can be seen from outside the gate if the camp is closed.
And this waymarker is pleased to say that, at age ten, he saw the original Smokey Bear at the National Zoo near Washington, D.C., in 1970.
