Dedicated to the memory of a special group of young men
who were students at Sam Houston State Teachers College
From September 1943 until March 1944. This plaque lists the
Names of those men who were members of Army Specialized
Training Unit #4814 who gave their lives in combat during
World War II.

After completing their training at Sam Houston, they
were assigned to the 99th Infantry Division and other
Army units. These men were killed in action, bothin
Europe ad the Pacific Area.
