Whilst walking through the Castel Sant'Angelo, I found out that the northwest tower contained some cannons, cannon balls and other displays of artillery. There also is a catapult there. I couldn't find out anything about these cannons, but on some websites they are stated as medieval cannons. By the looks of them, this seems to me correct.
