A playground with a nice variety of equipment is located next to the pond at Randy L. Dorner Park.

This is a nice small park on the north side of the Dorner Park Pond. Some of the play equipment includes a spider net climbing contraption, a low slide and fort for young children, a swing set with two regular swings and two with more security for the younger swingers, and a merry-go-round. Two covered pavilions with seating are at the playground. The park's bike trail runs east-west next to the playground, between the pond and the play equipment.
A sign near the playground includes the following text:
Randy's goal was to develop this very park as his last project before retirement. When he yearned for relief from the rigors of office work, Randy sought solace in a piece of heavy equipment, working dirt around this complex as a way to relax. Randy envisioned this park as a space to be enjoyed by the community for many years to come. Those he left behind are proud to honor Randy's legacy by seeing his vision come to fruition.
