"Raised during the Middle Ages. Secondly, the monastery, the cloister and the liturgical furniture, from more modern times. Today the church works as a parish temple
The church, declared a National Monument in 1980, has a basilica plan and is made up of three naves 30 m long. Its aesthetic is austere, simple, something characteristic of the Cistercian buildings. Even so, the capitals with history or decorated with plant motifs in the central nave are worth admiring. The north door, Romanesque, is also decorated with plant motifs. At the door of the sacristy we will find Ionic scrolls. It has a Romanesque stone altar. The main altarpiece (there are others in the side chapels), was made by Juan de Angés "El Mozo" and shows the crosses of Calatrava and Alcántara, the shield of the Congregation of Castile, the Ascension of Mary and various scenes from the life of Jesus.
The facade of the church is much later, since it was finished in 1801, date present in an inscription. It is neoclassical in style and houses an image of Saint Bernard. The bell tower is divided into two levels, the first one having a quadrangular plan and the upper one circular."
