DE: Unter Pfarrer Berrisch, der von 1845 bis 1883 in Brühl tätig war, wurde die alljährliche Karfreitagsprozession ab etwa 1850 mit Terrakotta-Reliefbildern entlag des Stationenweges ausgestattet. Jedes der Reliefbilder kostete um 130 Taler (entspricht etwa 5400 Euro) und wurde durch Spenden und Sammlungen finanziert. Fertiggestellt wurde der Kreuzweg dann im Jahr 1883.

Einige der Kreuzwegstationen wurden im 2. Weltkrieg zerstört, die hier dargestellten Kreuzwegstationen III, V und VII konnten gerettet werden, Station III und V wurden in die nördliche Mauer des Marienhospitals integriert, die Station VII direkt um die Ecke Richtung Westen. In der Brühler Denkmalliste sind diese Kreuzwegstationen unter den Nummern 120B und 120C aufgeführt.

DE: Under Pastor Berrisch, who worked in Brühl from 1845 to 1883, the annual Good Friday procession was equipped with terracotta relief images along the route from around 1850. Each of the relief images cost around 130 thalers (about 5400 euros) and was financed by donations and collections. The Way of the Cross was completed in 1883.

Some of the stations of the cross were destroyed in World War II, the stations of the cross III, V and VII shown here could be saved, station III and V were integrated into the northern wall of the Marienhospital, station VII was integrated directly around the corner to the west. These stations of the cross are listed in the Brühl monument list under the numbers 120B and 120C.
