Motivet er monumentet er Landsoldaten eller Den tapre landsoldat som den også kaldes. Frimærket har en værdi af 0,60 kr. (60 øre og er tegnet af Primus Nielsen.

Landsoldaten er et monument udført af kunstneren H. W. Bissen. Det består af en bronzestatue af en menig soldat med en bøgegren i hånden og omgivet af kanoner. Monumentet blev rejst efter den danske sejr over slesvig-holstenerne ved Fredericia den 6. juli 1849.
Det er det første monument der er lavet af en helt almindelig soldat.

The motif is the monument of The Brave Soldier. The stamp has a value of DKK 0.60 (60 øre) and was designed by Primus Nielsen.

The Brave Soldier is a monument made by the artist H. W. Bissen. It consists of a bronze statue of an ordinary soldier with a beech branch in his hand and surrounded by cannons. The monument was erected after the Danish victory over the Schleswig-Holsteins near Fredericia on 6 July 1849.
It is the first monument made by an ordinary soldier.
