Translated from the above noted text:

In 1877, Louis Marcoux owned the vast lot 530, on which the convent is located today, measuring 33 arpents 45 perches and 1 feet (1,226,674.27ft2) in area. In 1885, Louis Marcoux donated part of his land to the parish priest of Beauport, Ignace-Irénée-Adolphe Légaré.

The following year, the latter and his brother Cyrille Légaré, vicar general of the archdiocese of Quebec, had the current Beauport convent built next to the Church of La Nativité de Notre-Dame, according to the plans of the architect François-Xavier Berlinguet. In 1887, the reverend ceded the convent to the Congrégation de Notre-Dame de Montréal. In the same year, three sisters of the Congregation arrived to teach there. They are Sister Sainte-Marie-Anne-de-Jésus (Marie-Eugénie-Philomène Sirois), Superior, Sister Saint-Avit (Marie-Rose Boily) and Sister Saint-Jean- Crysostome (Marie-Azila Hénault).
